Read through the Intro and watch the tutorial at the top after the intro. 

On a separate sheet of paper, answer the questions below in complete sentences. 
Play around with the sim. 
1.How does the radius affect the speed of the objects?
a. Draw a free body diagram for the solid ball on the ball NOT A DOT, showing where the force originates. (AKA/ Where will you find each force?)
b. Which force (only one) causes the object to rotate? Which is creating torque? Consider the angle between each force and the axis of rotation.
3. Sketch angular motion graphs for the solid ball. Remember clockwise is ______________________. 
4. Create and fill out the table below:

5. Think about how the mass is spread out for each of the objects above (Draw a picture if necessary). Explain in 2-3 sentences for how we can determine who will win a race. Does mass and radius matter?
6. Who experiences the greatest acceleration? Explain your answer using the graphs. 
7. If there were no friction, what would change? Who would win? How do you know? Explain in 2-3 sentences. Think energy.
8. Describe the similarities and differences between the energies of the fastest and slowest object at the beginning and end.
